St Thomas Church, Lancaster City Centre
Thomas Consulting provided a design and detailing service and Principal Designer role under CDM 2015 regulations for the renovation/extension of the Church.
We are proud to have been involved in a local project of this nature which contributes to the local community.
Aims
To build a new structure consisting of a steel frame off reinforced concrete pad foundations and retaining walls with masonry wall construction throughout.
The new centre will be community based and will host the many and varied activities associated with the Church.
Outcomes
The original single and two storey extension to the rear of the Church had to be demolished to facilitate the construction of the new building.
Facilities including office areas, a large catering kitchen, toilet facilities including disabled access, conference and meeting room facilities and a nursery recreation area were developed.
