The development consists of 466 one and two bedroom apartments in timber frame construction. The development spearheaded the regeneration of a neglected brownfield area into a vibrant new community and opens up public access to the old quay of the Manchester Ship Canal.
The architects design concept for the apartment blocks simulates yachts. A technically challenging scheme design required our engineer’s input from an early stage ensuring a successful development. The scheme included blocks up to six storeys high plus a podium transfer slab at ground floor level. The project features cladding fixed directly to the timber frame structure.
