Project Description
An exemplar residential scheme of 46 plots for self-builders is proposed on the outskirts of Shrewsbury Town Centre. The project is to showcase SuDS implementation on the site. No surface water run-off from the highway or properties is to be discharged to the existing highway drainage; a series of swales will collect the surface water and distribute to infiltration basins on the site. Residual flows from extreme events will discharge to the River Severn via a swale.
Foul flows are collected and pumped into the main sewerage system.
The project is yet to be submitted for Planning Permission.
