Project Description
The project involved the construction of a new compressed natural gas re-fuelling station within the Omega Business Park in Warrington, Cheshire.
We were appointed by our Client, CNG Fuels, to carry out a variety of services including Drainage and Structural Design, Site Investigation and Principal Designer services. CNG Fuels are currently in the process of expanding their UK network of re-fuelling stations that utilise renewable biomethane sourced solely from food waste.
A large element of the project involved the design and detailing of the various reinforced concrete bases required to support the refuelling plant and equipment. One of the challenges faced by the design team included building over an existing water main that runs beneath the site.
